MEASUREMENTS AND SPECIMEN SIZING: All sizes are measured in inches, Tarantulas and Spiders are measured with DLS (diagonal leg span) while the Tarantula/Spider is stretched out. Scorpions are measured from head to tail strait. Amblypygids are measured with strait sideways leg span. Millipedes and Centipedes are measured from head to tail strait. Uropygids are measured from head to tail strait. Solifugae are measured with body length. Snakes are measured from their snout to the end of their tales. Lizards are measured from their snouts to the end of their tails. Turtles & Tortoises are measured by the length of their plastron. Frogs and Toads are measured from their snout to their back legs. Please note that all sizes are approximate estimates as we are not physically taking a ruler to measure each animal.  PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: All animals are shipped from Airdrie Alberta. All prices include tax and are listed in Canadian dollars. All animals are unsexed unless otherwise specified. All animals are CBB (captive bred & born) unless listed as ST (recent-4 months in captivity), MT (4-8 months in captivity) or LT (8 months or longer in captivity). All wild caught animals may come with minor defects such as missing legs or carapace scuffs that do not effect the health of the animal. All animals MUST be feeding without issue in order for them to make it to our price list. All animals must be healthy in order for them to make it to our price list, this does not include re-grown legs, missing legs, carapace scuffs, bald spots on abdomens due to hair kicking, dull coloration due to pre-molt, or other attributes that do not impact the health of the animal. We may choose not to sell live animals to you if you show us you do not have the knowledge to care for the animal(s) properly. All animals are covered under our health guarantee. All specimens are sold on a first come first serve basis meaning the specimen(s) goes to whoever we receive payment from first. This policy is not much of a problem on animals that we have more than one of but there are cases where we only have one of the requested animal available at the time. holds can be placed for up to two weeks, holds require 100% of the animals value in order to take place. If a hold exceeds the two week time frame than an additional boarding fee of $5 a day or $25 a week is tagged onto your purchase. We do not take deposits on animals, rather the full value of the animal(s) must be paid upon purchase. In some cases we may allow you to place a non-refundable deposit. Under no circumstances will a deposit be refunded. Truly Tarantulas is in no way, shape, or form obligated to refund you for any purchase made, and we do not offer any refunds, returns or money back guarantees. HEALTH GUARANTEE: Once an animal leaves Truly Tarantulas, you have 48 hours to report any health concerns or casualties with your purchase. We will discuss the issue with you and possible ask you some questions about how you where caring for the animal. If the animal died in your care within 48 hours of its purchase, we will replace the specimen for you. If a replacement is not available, we will offer you a store credit for the value of the animal you purchased. Deaths caused by improper care or communal setups will not be covered. This policy dose not apply to customers with orders shipped to them. SHIPPING POLICY: Shipping takes place all year except during the busy holiday season where packages often get lost in the mail. Our regular shipping days are Mondays but we can make exceptions if needed for customers. We value the lives of our animals and this is why we avoid the risk of a lost package if possible. Truly Tarantulas ships via Fed Ex priority overnight shipping that must be calculated manually for each individual order. Even if we are shipping to the same location twice the cost of shipping may not be the same as it was the first time we shipped to that location. This is one of the many reasons as to why you can not simply add live animals to a cart and pay for them on our site. All shipping quotes include a box fee. All animals are shipped in a appropriately sized vile or container that is lined with moist paper towel, the animal is then placed into an insulated box that may or may not be heated depending on the weather conditions. Please note that we do not cover the cost of animals that do not make it through transit, we will not refund or exchange any animals that pass away due to shipping and we will also not refund any shipping costs. We pack all of our animals with excellent care to take away as much risk as possible when it comes to shipping. We have zero control over delays caused by Fed Ex and their employees but we will do our best to contact Fed Ex and deal with an issues regarding a shipment on your behalf. In the case of a clearly damaged box, we will ask Fed Ex to refund the cost of shipping and if they choose to do so, we will forward that refund to you. TRADES AND COLLECTION PURCHASES: We are always open to purchasing specimens from anyone's personal collections at a reasonable wholesale rate as long as the animals are healthy. BREEDING LOANS AND SPIDERLINGS: We are always looking for mature males, we can purchase these males from you if we could use the male(s) you have or we can work out a deal with you on a breeding loan. Breeding loans are handled on a case by case basis so please contact us to arrange a breeding loan, trade, collection purchase or to offer us slings you have produced. MINORS POLICY (Persons under 18 years of age): We may sell a person under the age of 18 live Arachnids as long as the animal does not have potentially fatal venom and there is parental consent. For example, a Poecilotheria metallica Tarantula has potent venom, but the venom is not known to be fatal to humans, this is an animal we would be ok selling to a person under the age of 18 that can answer a few questions regarding the animals care prior to purchase. On the other hand, a Tityus stigmurus Scorpion contains venom that could potentially threaten the life of a human being, for this reason we would refuse this sale to a person under the age of 18 years old. We would like to emphasize the importance of parental consent for persons under the age of 18 purchasing any live animals from us. We must see valid proof of parental consent by either speaking on the phone with a parent/legal guardian or speaking in person with a parent/legal guardian. Screenshots of text messages or showing text messages in person will not be considered valid parental consent. Customers purchasing potent venom species must be prepared to show at least two forms of government issued identification (we will first request one piece of  government issued ID but a second may be required). POTENT VENOM SAFETY AND LEGALITY: Here at Truly Tarantulas, we do carry species of Arachnid and other invertebrates such as Centipedes that possess potentially life threating/fatal venom. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a species of animal with potentially life threating/fatal venom and we will ask for valid proof of this through a government issued drivers license. Even if you have parental consent as a minor to purchase one of these potentially lethal animals, we will not allow you to purchase the animal(s) in question until you are at least 18 years of age. Species that are known to have potent venom that is not life threating such as Poecilotheria Tarantulas or Stromatopelma Tarantulas may be sold to a person under the age of 18 but there must be valid parental consent, otherwise the sale will be refused.
