Terms of Service:

Please Note The Following:
Specimens available on our price list are measured using the following techniques:
Tarantulas & other Spiders - diagonal leg span (DLS) while the spider is stretched out.
Scorpions - The length of the body and tail whilst stretched out.
Centipedes - strait length from head to tail.
Amblypygids - diagonal leg span whilst comfortably outstretched.
Lizards - straight length from snout to tail.
Snakes - straight length from snout to tail.
Turtles and Tortoises - straight plastron length (top-bottom).
Any others - feel free to ask about how we measure other animals that are not listed here and we will explain our procedure.
All animals are captive bred unless listed as:
Short Term (ST) - recent to four months in captivity.
Mid Term (MT) - four to eight months in captivity.
Long Term (LT) - at-least eight months in captivity.
All specimens are unsexed unless otherwise specified on our price list.
All specimens are sold on first come, first serve basis meaning the specimen(s) go to whomever we receive payment from first.
Please make sure that the animal(s) you are purchasing from us are legal to own in your area as it can be very difficult for us to keep up with bylaws outside of our area.
All sales are final.

Health Guarantee:
We guarantee the lives and health of our animals for up-to 72 hours after purchase for both shipping customers and local pickups. If health concerns or deaths are observed within the first 72 hours of the animal being in the purchasers care, they should be reported to us immediately. Any issues or deaths reported to us after this time will not be covered under our health guarantee as the animals health is now in the responsibility of the purchaser. Our health guarantee does not apply for animals that have died due to communal housing or improper husbandry. In the event that a specimen were to die within the 72 hours after purchase, we will give you an exact replacement of the original animal purchased. If another specimen is not available, we will offer you the option to choose between a store credit and a refund. Please note that shipping costs can not be refunded under any circumstances and must be paid again for replacements to be shipped out. In order for a replacement to be sent out or a refund to be issued, proper proof of the dead specimen must be provided to us in the form of clear photographs (not videos) so we can confirm the death. 
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG):
Our live arrival guarantee only applies for next day shipping or two day if next day is not available in your area. Orders shipped via FedEx priority overnight to remote locations may experience extended transit periods. Orders shipped to rural areas where shipping times are longer then two days are not covered under our live arrival guarantee. Someone must be present at the address the day of arrival to sign for and accept the package in order for our live arrival guarantee to apply. If the shipping address provided to us by the receiver is undeliverable or the receiver decides to change the delivery address/information after the package has been sent out, the live arrival guarantee no longer applies to the purchase. We must be notified of any DOA's within 24 hours of the animal(s) arrival. In order for us to book your shipment, our order form requires the following information in regards to the shipping address: your first and last name, your phone number, your email, and your full and complete shipping address (this includes any important information such as apartment numbers, buzzer numbers, street names, etc). If you fail to input this information into our order form correctly and your order is thus shipped to an incorrect address or becomes undeliverable, we will not be held accountable for any shipping complications, and our live arrival guarantee will not apply on the purchase. In the case of a DOA where live arrival has been guaranteed, we will ship you an exact replacement of the original animal purchased but shipping expenses must be paid again by the receiver. If another specimen is not available, we will offer you the option to choose between a store credit and a refund. Shipping Terms:
Shipping fees very based on location, box size, weight, etc. If you would like a shipping quote for your order, please fill out our order request form which can be found on the "place an order" page. Shipping day is Monday with some acceptions here and there. All orders must be submitted and paid for before Saturday, at 11:59pm in order to be shipped out that Monday. Orders placed after 11:59pm on Saturday will be shipped out the next Monday instead of that Monday. Payment must be received in full prior to shipping. FedEx shipping quotes include a $10 insulated box fee, a $4 signature collection fee, and a free heat pack if needed. Please note that we may delay sending out your shipment to the next Monday, or in some cases another day if the weather is not suitable for shipping live animals. Insulated boxes are used all year-round but heat packs are only used during cold months or whenever necessary. We highly recommend having your order shipped to a FedEx ship center if possible. We recommend doing this as often times the delivery trucks animals sit in for hours can get very hot or very cold allowing for extreme weather conditions to come in contact with the animal(s). If you would like us to ship your order to your nearest FedEx ship center for pickup, please use that centers address and shipping information when filling out the order form. If you are not sure where the closest FedEx ship center is to you, please feel free to contact us and we will use your postal code to find the closest center to you! Not all of our invertebrates and reptiles qualify for FedEx shipping and some may only be available for local pickups or air cargo shipping. Any information and terms regarding our live arrival guarantee (LAG) can be found above under the LAG section of our terms page.
Orders, Payments, & Holds:
All orders must be submitted through our websites order form which can be found on the "place an order" page. Once you have submitted your order request to us via the form, we will get back to you - likely within 24-48 hours of your form submission with a no-obligation quote for your order. While you are more than welcome to call or text us about your order or too confirm availability, placing an order must be done via the order form and important notifications such as invoices, receipts, or shipping information will be communicated to you most likely via-email.
Payments can be made via cash upon pickup, E-transfer (interact email money transfer), PayPal, or Debit/Credit card. Please note that we can only take Debit/Credit cards in-person, but all other payment methods listed here can be used online.
Holds can be placed with a 50% deposit for up-to two weeks from the date a deposit was received. Animals on hold past the two week free holding period are automatically subject to a $20 daily boarding fee per animal. 

Minors Policy:
Minors (persons under 18 years of age) are not permitted to purchase any potent-venom species from our price lists. These may include buthidae scorpions, and several true spiders. Potent-venom species will not be sold to minors with or without parental consent. We may refuse a sale to a legal adult if we have reason to believe that the purchaser is going to give a potent-venom species to a minor.
Potent-Venom Species Agreement:
Purchasers of potent-venom species such as all buthidae scorpions, and several true spiders must be prepared to show at-least two pieces of government issued identification upon purchase, both online or in person. Please note that Truly Tarantulas is in no way responsible or liable for any injurie's or deaths that occur as a result of animals purchased from us. It is the buyers full responsibility to be safe and cautious when dealing with potent-venom species.
Abusive and Inappropriate Behavior:
Any actions deemed as rude, disrespectful, harmful, abusive, or just down right inappropriate may result in a permanent ban from purchasing from us both online or in-person. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior in the slightest and are quick to end all communication and business with anyone who we feel is violating these terms. If necessary, the correct legal actions will be taken to protect both myself and my company.

Bulk discounts and wholesale inquires are always welcome.
Export outside of Canada via air cargo shipping is available for legitimate importers.
Minimum order Value for export outside of Canada is $3,000 CAD.
